We presently have three major fundraisers:
- The Gator Run in April, which is a 5K, 10K & Kid’s 1-mile runs and a Health Expo
- Johnna’s Tea Party, which is a tea party with fancy hats, delicious food, drinks and entertainment in May.
- The Howl-O-Ween Pooch Parade & Pet Expo, which is held the Sunday before Halloween
The Gator Run is a two-day event that attracts about 1,500 runners and growing. Now in its 10th year, the Gator Run has become a popular spring event in Simi Valley. Major sponsors include Simi Valley Hospital, Facey Medical Group, Dole, and Del Taco.
Johnna’s Tea Party is our newest fundraiser that is sure to be a crowd pleaser. With limited seating, guests come in their fancy hats to eat, drink, be entertained, and to do a little shopping. Portions of the proceeds will be donated to The Marcelle Erian Cancer Foundation.
The Howl-O-Ween Pooch Parade is one of the most unique and fun events any organization offers in Simi Valley. Participants dress themselves and their dogs in their Halloween costumes and parade around the Rancho Tapo Community Park (Lemon Park). In addition to the parade, there is a Pet Expo with more than 40 suppliers of pet products. Major sponsors include Theresa’s Pet & Feed, Eukanuba, Iams, the Ventura County Star, and Dr. Ron’s Animal Hospital.
