Like everyone else this year, COVID has thwarted a lot of planned Events/Fundraisers for Simi Sunset. But that doesn't mean we stop giving back and providing service above self. Especially during the Holiday season! It's time to regroup, rethink, and restrategize! People are still in need and our community still needs support. Take a look at the following projects our club completed in just the last month. If you find yourself wanting to participate, get in touch with our Club, our Club Service Chair, and/or our Community Service Chair. We are always looking for like-minded people and always available to support our community. www.SimiSunsetRotary.org

Turkey Delivery

A few of our members assisted in picking up 100 full turkey dinners. This included a 10-12 pound turkey and a box that contained dressing, gravy, cranberry sauce and more. The turkey dinners were delivered to the Senior Center just in time for Thanksgiving.

Welcome to Simi Valley Sign Clean Up

A few of us took on the task of clearing debris and overgrowth at the Welcome to Simi Valley sign.

Senior Center food pick up and delivery.

On a weekly basis, our club helps the Senior Center by picking up food from grocery stores and bringing it back to the center. On Tuesday mornings, our club also packs and gives meals to seniors that drive through the Center's parking lot. Recently, the grocery store had an abundance of food and our President, Mark Lowry, loaded up as much as he could in his truck.
