Ventura County has been identified as one of the most at-risk counties in the nation for an undercount in the 2020 Census (59th out of over 3,000 respectively). Each person that is not counted is a loss of $2,000 per person/per year for ten years. Literally, hundreds of millions of dollars are at stake for the programs that help bridge gaps in our society and allow all to live in dignity. Vanessa Bechtel serves as the President and CEO of  the Ventura County Community Foundation, but tonight she came to us to help spread a message -- Fill out those census forms! She claims that the accuracy of the forms will help Ventura County financially.
