Max Copenhagen and his colleague are Grand Jurors in Ventura County. They came to share exactly what they do as a Grand Juror and how to become one. Per the County of Ventura... By law, to become a grand juror a person must: (1) be a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age or older; (2) have been a resident of Ventura County for one year immediately prior to being selected; (3) be of ordinary intelligence, sound judgment, and good character; and (4) have sufficient knowledge of English to understand and report grand jury business. A person may not serve on the grand jury if he or she: (1) is currently serving as a trial juror; (2) has been discharged as a grand juror in any court in California within one year; (3) has been convicted of misconduct in office or any felony or high crime; or (4) is serving as an elected public officer.
