Our speaker tonight was the one and only, Jim Lewis. Jim Lewis is a survivor and advocate for the eradication of Polio. Because he got the virus on his parents 10th wedding anniversary, when he was a young boy, Jim travels the world to help Rotary International eradicate polio.
Tonight he was asking for new pledges to donate the the Polio Plus Foundation. Donations help Rotary and its partners reach every child with the polio vaccine. Thanks to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, each contribution will be tripled, getting us even closer to a polio-free world.
Tonight our club had at least 15 MEMBERS DONATE $100 EACH.
