Huge shout out to the Simi Valley Acorn for including an article about our clubs’ allocations meeting.  The article came out in the July 15th edition of the paper and detailed how our club donated money to 15 local area nonprofits.  With all the god works, events, and fundraisers that our club was able to pull of this Rotary year we were able to donate $33,800.  The article details out how this was the largest amount of money that our has ever raised in a single year.  The amount reported on was in addition to the other great projects that our club was able to provide.  These included events like 'Reading by 9' where our club donated books to title one schools in Simi and 'Shoes for Little Souls' where our club provides funding for under privileged youth in the area so that they will have clothing for the coming year.
