President's Message

Welcome to February Sunsetters,

Our meetings for the month of January seemed to fly by. And speaking of flying, we as a club learned all about UAVs or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and how they started and where they are going, with AeroVironment. We flew with JPL to Mars with their presentation of the Mars rovers and landers. We even let our imaginations soar while learning about the Performing Arts Center at Moorpark College. Our month finished strong with the Santa Susana High School Interact Club taking over our meeting for a night. These young adults are amazingly bright and talented.

I want to welcome back Sally from her leave and Floyd. The meetings were not the same without you two. I'm also excited for next couple months with our "Reading by Nine" childhood literacy project beginning with an extra infusion of funds thanks to our generous members and some outside
supporters. Enabling our club to bring books to a few extra schools in Simi this year.

Our Club is incredible and our members are amazing. I'm so proud to be a part of it.
