Simi Sunset Rotary - A Message from the Club President

The Rotary Club of Simi Sunset, just over six years old, is small but mighty and this year our theme is "Make Dreams Real". The Rotary Club of Simi Sunset, along with other Rotary clubs in our area and around the world. are working together to help make dreams real for all the disadvantaged children of the world. You will find the Rotary Club of Simi Sunset sharing its time, talent and treasures within many areas of our Local & International Communities. These projects include: support for the YMCA; the Boys & Girls Club; and Simi Valley School District with books for "Reading by Nine" and Dictionaries to all 2nd-grade students; books and playground equipment in Maclovio, Mexico; and sending members on Immunization trips to countries in our fight to eradicate Polio. These are just a few of the many projects and programs benefiting children from our commuties and internationally.

To help support our community, the Rotary Club of Simi Sunset hosts several fundraisers. In September/October we will be selling German sausages at Oktoberfest. In February we bring to Simi Valley a night of elegance, dancing, poker and casino gaming with our Fifth Annual "Monte Carlo Night". To wind up the year, on Memorial Day weekend we will have our Third Annual "Gator Run". We look forward to you supporting these events through sponsorship and/or attendance!

Throughout the last six years, Simi Sunset has taken pride in being an award-winning club within our District, earning Best Small Club, Governor's Super Club and many other recognitions achieved by our members who continue to Share Rotary. I invite you to join us at one of our weekly meetings to learn what Rotary is all about! Simi Sunset Rotary meets at 6:00pm every Tuesday evening at Paul's Italian Villa on Cochran Street in Simi Valley to share fellowship, a good meal, ideas, accomplishments and an inspirational program.
