On December 12, our club joined forces with the other 2 Simi Valley Rotary clubs and built hundreds of bicycles. These bicycles were built for boys and girls in the community and given to them for Christmas. The requests for bicycles are provided by local churches, temples, the Boys and Girls Club, YMCA and other non-profit organizations.
Community Service Day is approaching soon. February 23 is the date the Rotary Clubs combine forces and clean up somewhere in Simi. This year we are tackling Camp Rotary. Come on out and help us keep this historic park and camp ground area clean!
In another month or two, we will be distributing books to Justin Elementary, grades K-3. This is an annual project we all get behind. It's the Reading by 9 program we adopted 4 years ago in our club and we adopt a new school each year to recived nearly 600 books!
